OLD MOON

To the old garden and the big moon, to the sound of guitars and the rush of excitement, to the night that changed everything. Years ago the northern lights emerged over a lake in the woods. An equatorial vibe descended; the expanding pinks and reds and greens and blues became fractal. Thunder pulsed in the distance. Old Moon lay back in their canoes. In the pastel darkness they dreamed of jams delirious enough to prevent the sun from setting, to prevent these lights from ever going out.
